Kichler Path Light
After you have enhanced your garden with a variety of foliage and decided on where each rock will be placed, there is still lighting work left without which your masterpiece would remain incomplete. No doubt your garden would look outstanding after all the hard work you have done, however, this would be only during the day and not in the dark. You can resolve this problem by using Kichler path lights in your garden. Your garden can be made use of even during the nights.
Before you invest in one, think of the various reasons or purpose for illuminating the garden. It could be for security reasons, for a romantic evening or for ambiance. Of course a shadowy corner needs to be well-lit for precautionary reasons or may be the path leading to the garden needs to be marked with a boundary. Kichler path lights can also be used to highlight a special feature of your garden say a pond or a water fountain.
After you are clear about the reasons for wanting a path light, make an assessment of the object and the foliage present in the garden. If you plan to illumine the bench that is along the path install a pole lamp to place it behind the bench. To create that soft mood, set lights under a shrub. Depending on how much illumination is required on the path; install a series of lights on either sides or just on one side.
Plan and think properly as too many lights will make the place look like flood-lights and offend the neighbors; on the other hand too few lights would fail to enhance the splendor of your garden. Take the services of a licensed electrician while installing these lights as it is a strenuous job. Besides, the wires of these lights will have to be buried atleast eighteen inches deep in conduit to prevent it from getting wet. Along with lighting fixtures you will also have to pay for labor if you opt for high voltage fixtures. However, if you opt for low voltage lights, it would cost you less as it can be installed all by yourself.
For highlighting a statue in the garden consider using only a few lights with low intensity bulbs. These must be placed at different distance and angles, as a single bright light which falls directly on that particular object will produce a harsh shadow. Soft spots of lights along the path way at an equal distance will create the required illumination.
